It has been wonderful to have such positive and encouraging feedback to accompany the release of my first book – Bare Nipples. I had dreamed of publishing a book and had no idea how hard this would be. It was a steep learning curve and I almost gave up, but I had gone far enough that I took a minute and re-strategized—let go of timing—welcomed feedback and then kept steady on the course and held this desired outcome. Eventually—3 years later—I have something I am truly proud of. And it is on the shelves at the Boulder Bookstore if you have an interest in my life, thoughts, passions through poetry that came to me in a period of time that I captured and then tried to make sense of.
In any event, it is designed to help bring awareness to shame and help find voice and even perhaps to have intergenerational conversations around.
A book reading at the news North Boulder library recently was an amazing experience. The small room was filled with people whom I have known for many years. The moment led itself to intimate sharings, curiosity, and inspired actions—exactly what I had hoped for in the book’s release.
And now I am currently working on a few other titles in my spare creative time. I’ll get occasional inspirational sparks so I’m curious to see where and when and how those will materialize into book form. Writing remains the hardest thing for me. Stream comes from my head….. you can probably see it from where you are! For me to sit down and put my pen to paper, Oh my 🙂
I’ll have a few copies for sale at a holiday fair in the Gunbarrel area early November. Reach out and I can give you more information.
