Crestone Painting Retreat

My annual painting retreat in August was so wonderful. I look forward to this time every year to camp along the Crestone Creek and to be inspired through art exercises to explore where my soul is speaking to me through color.

It is soooo very healing on all the levels. Its generally the same returning group of students so it is a safe space to expand, try new things, and create.

Maybe there is something about the rhythm—the same time of year, same place, same loving teachings that invites me to take a deeper breath out. Maybe its just that the commitment to signing up for a class just for me, is what is really behind it all.

Whatever it is, it brings a level of joy to my being and that I bring home some art I am pleased with is an added bonus.

Hot springs sandwich this time. Camping and painting for 5 days is part of the messy creative process but a proper clean up at the end is metaphorically—a great ending.
