What I celebrate is the process that goes behind the finished creative expression. Only I know how much I’ve worked through the entire creation to complete Bare Nipples – Poetic Stops on My Healing Journey. Releasing this book of intimate poetry has been a birth of sorts – deeply connected to all the feels of a creation that I need to separate from because it is so deeply personal.
I’ve grown a lot in the discovery of putting my voice out there in both song and in words. As I celebrate, there is an inward reflection that is required to take all that I’ve learned — all the clearing and movement and healing that’s happened.
As a proud longtime Boulder resident and artist, it has been amazing to follow my dream of publishing an interactive book of sacred intimate poetry! I’m honored to say that this brings me full circle from working at Simon & Schuster as the only non-english major struggling to write press releases, to a published author with my book now available in the downtown Boulder Bookstore.
Bare Nipples contains many different subjects, touching on love, death, dreams, longing, shame, and personal passions. I hope you can find voice, inspiration, healing and compassion in the process of sitting with your own experiences and truths.
New Vocal Performances
The joy that comes from pushing my comfort zone, some other peoples’ nightmare, is actually a thrill for me! Singing really is a form of therapy that touches the deepest parts of grief and turns it into a transformative moment. It becomes super powerful to know that I can take that discomfort and transform it into art. Check out my full playlist of vocal performances on YouTube.
