Description
Salves are healing ointments featuring natural beeswax with solar infused organic oils of jojoba and olive with backyard plants including lavender, rose, violet, calendula and rosemary. Applied to the body, salves are muscle soothing and great for the skin. Salves are similar to lotions, but salves do not contain water. This means that salves have longer shelf-lives and are perfect for deep moisturizing and managing topical skin issues. Not intended for broken skin.
Arnica – for aches and pains, bumps and bruises. A topical salve of beeswax with solar infused oils that can assist in recovery from an injury. Not intended for open or broken skin.
Hot-N-Cold – a salve intended for deeper aches and pains and to increase circulation to an area using the heat of cayenne and ginger with the cooling nature of menthol. I apply this to my shoulders at the end of a day of hiking of backcountry skiing to lift my spirits and calm the sore spots.
Honey-Vanilla Hand Cream – a salve intended for the dry climate here in Colorado. This is an all around salve that deeply moisturizes, and combines the clearing properties of the violet leaf with the nourishing elements of raw honey to help relieve dry skin, cuticles, and cracked heels. Also practical for lips. Honey is an antimicrobial and although a bit sticky, can feel great after a bath and before bed for those real stubborn issues.
Please note: Vanilla is not recommended for pregnant women and salves are not to be used on open skin (they can actually trap in bacteria and interfere with the body trying to move infection out).
It’s always a good idea to consult with your physician before usage of herbs to ensure that herbal products are safe for your use.
