I‘m ready to move beyond the fear–to move in ways that are freeing to my soul. I want to bask in beauty and to feel the warmth of my own inner knowing. I care to align with nature and to learn all about complementary practices that can support my own body and its innate wisdom. I have a vision, and it has manifested in the development of Blair’s Herbals.

Blair’s Herbals is my answer to how to live in truth and beauty. Hand crafting herbal salves and balms has been a part of my answer to taking responsibility for my health and well being. When I make my own skin care products, I know what it is that I put in and on my body and that feels very important for me.

When I sit with the plants, I slow down and look around me, feel the plants, and touch the earth. By singing and/or talking to the plants, it signals a desire to connect more deeply, and I learn from them about their medicinal gifts that they are able to share with me. The plants are my allies — they are my food and my medicine in sickness and in health.

Learning Reiki and other energy modalities has given me tools to face challenges in my daily life. Giving and receiving that energy has been powerful and reassuring–the “sanity” in the midst of worldly craziness and instability. Because I have a tendency to feel so deeply, I can take on sadness and grief that isn’t even directly mine. I am “sensitive”, and calling on the plants and creating sacred boundaries and protection has been an important practice to develop.

I am learning to choose situations, foods, people, activities that help me to lift my spirit and resonate with the frequency of love, which is naturally healing and to let go of those things that drain me and cost my life force. It is a daily and a seasonal awareness, like the trees that must lose their leaves or have them stripped off with a heavy wind or snow storm that may have serious breakage.

I find simple joy, beauty and peace in reconnecting with the healing of the natural world and working with plants allows me the opportunity to deepen into the wisdom of the spiritual beings all around us.
