Who is on your Healing Team?

I have a team of people that I rely on for helping me on my healing journey.

I love having a talented and wonderful team of committed complementary care practitioners I can call on when I am not feeling my optimal energetic self. I feel their commitment to their practice and their professionalism. I trust and feel safe that these folks have my highest good at stake. They know what they can do confidently and they are honest with their trainings and areas of expertise. Their open compassionate hearts guide them to identify where my energy/chi is flowing and where it might need a little support. Do I have foreign energy? How is stress showing up in my body? How am I dealing with aging and hormones (not well!)..? Am I grounded? Am I resilient or blocked? Is my body trying to tell me something, and am I listening? What tweaks are needed? Do I need a spinal adjustment? How about a few needles or Chinese herbs? Could a specific meditation practice be appropriate?

My body and energy field are wonderfully complex, and I find it fascinating to know how to listen deeply to what I might need and to honor my body’s innate wisdom to keep things going and in harmony to the best of its ability. I’m learning all the time and it is wonderful! I understand that health is not the absence of disease but how we relate and rebound from changes in our field.

Bottom line, it is nice to feel cared for and loved up for an hour periodically. We all deserve that yummy “I am important” feeling. So, all that I have received over the years in personal experience and various energy trainings is what I look to give back for your growth, transformation, empowerment, and awareness in my Reiki sessions.

I recognize that healing and magic can and often will happen when there is good chemistry between the practitioner and the client, and there is an environment that is safe to let go and explore ones connection to universal healing energy, the divine, or whatever higher power you call on. I recognize that deep listening, and not trying to fix or cure, is an essential component to give space to and to know what one needs and to feel comfortable asking for it. In my own practice, I want to serve people who are curious about the role of mindfulness and behavior in their wellbeing. They see the value of regular sessions. I love to witness changes over time and feel the excitement of seeing clients move through a healing crisis or just get the time alone that they desperately need to reset their nervous system. A lot of time is spent preparing the space beforehand so that a person can drop right into that juicy receiving place. The most important function I feel I have when seeing clients is “holding space” for them. When I committed to being a Reiki master and practitioner, I knew it would be one of the hardest things I have ever done, but it would also be so rewarding. And it has been!

In order to do my work (and tap into and continue to develop and deepen my intuitive nature), I have promised myself to make self-care a priority. I am a conscientious eater, I get quality sleep, I practice gratitude, and I receive regular body work and therapy so that I can show up clear and open to the intention for the day. I don’t schedule too many sessions in a week. I want my vibrational energy to be clean and high. If I am sick or not feeling well, I will honor that and cancel scheduled sessions. I had to do that recently. It was difficult, but the right thing to do. Looking at my fears, held judgements and beliefs and other areas where I need healing has not been easy. It is not something I can ignore, though, if I want to continue to hold space for others. So, I am open to finding my truth as painful as it can be so that I can mature in my work and explore my boundaries and triggers safely while bringing compassionate wisdom to my work in the world. I know what a huge responsibility it is to provide this service and step into this sacred role. Thank you for trusting me as one of your committed and dedicated team members with your wellbeing. I am truly honored!
